Guest post: My Day at Capilano by Anwen Rose Bodell

On the way from Vancouver to Kelowna we went to an amazing place called Capilano. It had a long bridge called Capilano suspension Bridge. It was 140m long and it was very wobbly.

My dad met his friend from University. His name is Mike and he came with his family.

Firstly, we went to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Our family goes to Capilano every year and the queue seems to get larger because it gets more and more popular. When I got on to it I saw an outstanding view with the river running underneath and the trees looping above our heads. When we got to the other side we did a trail in a fabulous treetops adventure.

We did a trail of six questions and we had to find different types of trees. There was Western Hemlock, Western Red Cedar and Douglas Firs. It was really fun. At the end of the trail we could choose from two badges, a yellow slug or a ladybug. I chose the ladybug. Then we enjoyed some delicious, creamy pancakes and hot chocolate.

After crossing the bridge back it was sadly time to say goodbye to the Cheungs as they continue their adventures!

  2. I went to Capilano Suspension Bridge many years ago. It was amazing at the time as I’m not fond of heights. But a memory of a life time
